NBC national news was all over it tonight. Made it sound like Gov Abbott was crazy to pardon a convicted murderer, interviews with mom of dead BLM protestor, Austin DA, etc.
Awesome Gov Abbott, thank you!

Great email.srothstein wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 9:07 pm This is the email I just sent:
I write to ask the Board of Pardons and Parole to strongly consider recommending a pardon on the grounds of actual innocence for Sgt. Daniel Perry. I ask this because of the strong self-defense laws in Texas and the circumstances reported in the media that should have resulted in a mistrial being declared. These include a jury member violating the jury instructions to research the law in Texas on self-defense and then discussing his interpretation of this law with the other jury members, and the participation in the deliberations of an alternate member who expressed her opinions through grunts and other sounds when she was not supposed to participate in the deliberation at that time.
I appreciate your consideration of the this.
Trump has picked it up.

Re: TX: one dead at shooting during police protest in downtown Austin tonight
“The testimony confirming Perry's anger toward protesters came on the third day of the trial as prosecutors displayed text messages and social media comments showing that he thought about killing them. "I might have to kill a few people on my way to work, they are rioting outside my apartment complex," Perry wrote to a friend in June of 2020. "I might go to Dallas to shoot looters," he wrote on another occasion. Perry also encouraged violence in a variety of social media posts.
In addition, Perry speculated about how he might get away with such a killing – by claiming self-defense, as he is now doing. Prosecutors presented a Facebook Messenger chat between Perry and a friend, Michael Holcomb, which occurred two weeks before he shot Foster. In it, Perry argued that shooting protesters was legal if it was in self-defense. Holcomb, who was called to the stand Wednesday afternoon, seemed to try to talk Perry down. "Aren't you a CDL holder too?" he asked, referring to the men's licenses to carry concealed handguns. "We went through the same training ... Shooting after creating an event where you have to shoot, is not a good shoot."”
This was in an Austin newspaper.
This was on Yahoo about a shooting after a car accident in Dallas.
Again two people with guns. One apparently drunk.

Charges were brought and then dismissed.

The trial that should not have happened, has started in Austin.
This may determine if Austin is really part of Texas and if the Capital of Texas needs to be moved.

Apparently the Sargent tweeted things on social media that present a view that is not helpful should he be charged with a crime, supposedly. The post were under a screen name, but a communist website has linked it him. The posts have since been taken down.
"In June, when President Donald Trump tweeted that "protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes" protesting in Oklahoma would face "a much different scene" than protesters in New York or Minneapolis, Perry responded from a now-deleted account with the username “@knivesfromtrigu”. The tweet read, "Send them to Texas we will show them why we say don't mess with Texas." That account was identified as being connected to Perry by Tribune of the People, which bills itself as a “revolutionary news service.”"
Here is what the Tribune of the People thinks : (caution if you do not regularly read the other side it could cause stress)

So is this guy a candidate for the eye test. Looks like it to me.Paladin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:49 amBreaking this video down, Foster felt it was his "right" to march in the streets and block traffic... wanted to kill cops with his AK, but knew he would die if he did... and was actively intending to intimidate anyone who disagreed with ANTIFA/BLM. Now he's a dead terrorist.
