Re: Authorities Respond to Report of ’20 Victim Shooting’ Incident in San Bernardino: Fire Dept.

First time I have heard this, I figure a gun shop owner in California near the site of the tragedy would know

"The biggest problem is that it was a gun-free zone," said Get Loaded owner Terry McGuire, 49, a bald, burly guy who looks as though he would be right at home among the many cops and deputies to whom he caters. "You aren't allowed to carry guns into county buildings."

I know we all new in our hearts it was a "gun free zone"

I believe this was from a piece in the LA times which is kind of remarkable.

Statement by CAIR

"The Council on American-Islamic Relations has condemned the shooting and said they will be holding a press conference Wednesday night along with a relative of one of the suspect’s named by the media.

“We condemn this horrific and revolting attack and offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of all those killed or injured,” CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush said in a statement. “The Muslim community stands shoulder to shoulder with our fellow Americans in repudiating any twisted mindset that would claim to justify such sickening acts of violence.” "

The site is being overwhelmed by too much traffic, so I was unable to determine if it was a gun free zone. But it is California.

One report said the men or man was carrying a rifle. Left in a Black SUV. People have reported body armor.

One statement said the shooting occurred in a conference facility that was being rented to an outside group.

This may explain the choice of a place that helps people with disabilities as the target. It was not this organization, but the group that was renting the meeting room could have been the target.

We will hope and pray it was not a veterans group, as from the reports, this does not appear it is a random crazy person intent on suicide for his or her 15 minutes.

My prayers for the victims and their families.
