RIP to the new deputy who was killed. I assume he was a local deputy, doing his job. When a bad guy goes on the run like this, it brings bad news to communities far far away.

I assume this will all be blamed on us tonight in the speech.

Called the father of the daughter he killed and taunted him. One million dollar reward. Shot up a police car at one of his targets so bad it is not driveable.

On the other side, asked my son about it and he said a lot of the internet is talking about how the guy was railroaded out of the police force for not protecting his partner and not lying about a case where his partner beat someone. These same internet sites say LA police are corrupt. (I have no sources other than rumor)

Anyway, they will reopen the Dorner case.

Apparently he is being cheered on by some on the left as sort of an anti-hero.

"he's not your average nut job" or an "exceptional nut job" may be an understatement.

Hmmm, he may be an embarrassment to the anti gun crowd.

This whole thing sounds terrible. A former police officer is going all postal in LA, killing family members of people who got him fired. Then the police being targeted are jumpy and shot two women delivering newspapers. Forty policemen are now assigned to protect potential victims.

What else can they do the people can't protect themselves.

Very sad.
