Re: 17 year old girl killed in home invasion, she was the ro
Note to self: If I am ever a pretty 17 year old girl. Don't plan a robbery of a meth house, by having two of my criminal friends break in and pretend to hold me hostage at gunpoint, only after I have sold a gun to the owner of the meth house the day before. Oh and don't make it across the street from an elementary school.

The first link in the thread has linkable tags with their names that go to their facebook, myspace pages.recaffeination wrote:I see a lot of pictures of her in news stories but none of the men accused of murdeing her. Not even mugshots. That has to be intentional.
I guess today if Bonny and Clyde were robbing banks today we could post "like" and stuff to their pages.

This blogger is as confused as I am.
http://thesop.org/story/20120706/what-w ... ewood.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Aspiring actress, lived with foster parents or with her mom. Originally from Bosnia, but German. Fancy neighborhood, but described as a duplex. Back door kicked in. Girl worked at a taco place near by, but lived 8 miles away. Apparently though hard to tell from the reporting, the homeowner may have called 911 and then stopped talking when the police arrived other than to say he did not know the girl. But not a person of interest, supposedly. Apparently the story made Nancy Grace last week.
Made the UK papers.

From the Fort Worth paper.
http://www.star-telegram.com/2012/07/08 ... death.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Saying she directed the BG's to the house. May have been in the house before.
At this point I am not even sure if the homeowner shot anyone, since they refer to him coming home and finding the body next to the kicked in door. But in other places they refer to the house having six people in it including children when the door was kicked in.
I'll keep you updated whether you want to be or not.

Re: 17 year old girl killed in home invasion, she was the ro
Yeah, I'm getting really confused now.
Did the homeowner defend his home from robbery from two men, five women and a dog?
Or did the robbers shoot one of their posse while attempting to rob a house?
Or was the young girl a victim of a street crime and just ended up on the door step of a homeowner?

A 17 year old girl was killed in a home invasion. She was one of the BG's.
http://www.chron.com/news/article/Polic ... 691141.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
What is interesting to me is that the short article is written in a very pro gun, pro homeowner, pro stand your ground manner. Obviously not written by the Chronicle. There is no mention of the homeowner shooter and their role. An exchange of gunfire is all that is said and it doesn't even say "with the homeowner".
The girl was with two male accomplices who fled after the exchange of gun fire. Both have been arrested and charged with felony murder for their part in her death, as that is the law.
Textbook from both the police work, prosecution and the reporting of the story. Says a lot about Texas and why it is good to live here.
Imagine how this would be reported and prosecuted in lets say Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., or Standford, Florida.
Really sad that a young girl is dead, I wish that a lot of parents were better at raising their children.
