Re: Midterm Election
So since the midterms it continues to be disappointing.
1.7 trillion budget passes with a bunch of Republican defections including the current Republican leader Mitch McConnell. New majority will have no control over Brandon’s Budget until September.
Trump most likely will be indicted.
Now we have this.

Some NY representative elect appears to not be who he says he is.

Brandon is the first president since Roosevelt to not lose a Senate seat during the midterms.

Re: Midterm Election
Dems have pulled within 6 seats of the Republicans in the House.
I will vote for who ever the Republicans nominate in 2024.
I would prefer a Trump DeSantis ticket in 2024.
Trump not playing nice with DeSantis doesn’t help that.

Re: Midterm Election
54% of the Harris County votes went for Beto.
That carried down the ballot for the other statewide races.
It then extended to all the Democratic Judges and the County Judge.
The Republicans had the support of the Sheriff’s office and the local police due to the Democratic judges letting everyone out without bail.
Local Houston celebrity “Mattress Mac” heavily campaigned on TV for the Republican local races.
Today in his victory speech Brandon promised to ban assault weapons.

He’s a lib saying it.
I think it’s going to be extraordinary.
Historic. Record breaking.
My concern is that the Republicans will mess it up just like they did for Trumps first two years.
We need. LTC reciprocity across the US.
A definition of Male and Female XX and XY.
Hard for me to imagine that so many people were so happy with Brandon’s first two years they wanted more.

Re: Midterm Election
All I see are stories about machines not working in Maricopa county in Arizona and a judge saying people can vote in PA up to two weeks after the election.
Plus not having election results until weeks after the election.
So go vote if you have not already.

Re: Midterm Election
That’s been the standard in Harris County for a while.LTUME1978 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 8:13 pm Voted today (Brazoria County). The voting machines looked almost the same but when I signed in to vote, they gave me a full size piece of paper to insert into the voting machine. Once I made my selections, the voting machine printed all of them on the piece of paper. I had to take the piece of paper to another station where my the piece of paper was inserted into different machine and the votes were recorded. The piece of paper stayed in the second machine. I did check to see if everything on the paper was correct before inserting it into the second machine.
Is anyone else experiencing this process? This was new for Brazoria County.
Printed original for you to review. Then scanned for tabulating, then paper original locked away as a record for an audit. Seems pretty foolproof.
Not sure where the counting occurs during scan or initial printing, I assumed during scanning since you can review it. May be counted twice as an audit.

Makes it harder to cheat and change votes from early voting.
Also check and question any Wi-Fi hotspots at your polling location for suspicious WAPs. There shouldn't be any and if there are, you should bring it to the attention of the precinct officials and question it.
