Defendant has requested and the judge has granted the Defendant's request to represent himself.

A person who does not want a lawyer to represent them at a sanity hearing is usually insane.

Not sure if that is also the case at a criminal trial.

One problem with all trials that involve mass murder is that probably all defendants are crazy to begin with as they wouldn't have done it if they were "normal".

I'm not sure how it started that we don't jail or execute guilty crazy people.
