DPS seems to be catching up a bit on the new ones at least. Mine was 51 days so far; 3 weeks after my check was cashed until I received my PIN and 3 weeks from "Processing Application" to "APPLICATION COMPLETED - LICENSE ISSUED OR CERTIFICATE ACTIVE"!

Can't wait! Don't have a Hawaiian shirt though!

Re: DPS Processing Times

It's a big day at our house today!!! My husband got his plastic today after 115 days and I got my pin number today!!!! Yay!!!!

Yep, you got it, we did the 'Wally Walk' tonight and did it proper by even going to the sporting goods department! Of course they didn't have any .380s. :smash:

Hang in there........there's hope.

Westex, this may not be the time nor the place for this, but I thought I'd pass along something that our CHL instructor said.

Once you reach the 'license issued or certificate active' point, if you are stopped by a LEO (law enforcement officer) you should, as a courtesy, also say that "by the way you are expecting your CHL license in the mail but haven't received it yet, and are not carrying yet of course".

The instructor explained that when the officer runs your drivers license it will also show that you already have a CHL and he'll be very upset with you that you didn't show him your license.

Just thought I'd throw that out here for when you're already processed but haven't actually received the plastic. BTW, congratulations!!
