Looks like the BC of a typical 22 long rifle would likely be between .150 and .200, but I don't yet know how to incorporate BC into the formulae. Still researching...cbr600 wrote: What BC did you use? What's your calculated velocity at 100 yards and 1000 yards?

Re: Mystery Bullet In Rowlett
It looks like you are missing a factor or two. Remember that air resistance is significant (BC is Ballistic coefficient BTW) it appears that your formulae would only apply in a vacuum. The path of a projectile fired in our atmosphere does not describe the perfect arc your program predicts, because ...

Re: Mystery Bullet In Rowlett
What BC did you use? I assume you mean bullet caliiber. For this example, lacking the facts, I used 1300 fps initial velocity. What's your calculated velocity at 100 yards and 1000 yards? I did not calculate velocity. HP calculator formulae: range = initial velocity sqared / gravity acceleration x ...

I know I'm late for the party, but I couldn't resist this challenge: ... the shooter would have had to be aiming extremely high in order to make it that far ... According to my HP 50g Graphing Calculator and the included formulas for projectiles, I compute the following: The initial angle would only...

Re: Carry in a grocery store that sells alcohol???
If an establishment obtains 51% or more of their income from the sale of alcohol for on site consumption they may have a 51% license; they may not. You would need to view the license certificate which should be posted in a conspicuous place. If it says Sign = RED then it is a 51% establishment accor...

Re: my chl class, is this normal?
It seems we always hear about bad instructors and classes. I want to put in a good word for the class I took I also had a very good instructor. For those of you in North Texas who have yet to take your CHL class or have acquaintances who will be taking the class, you should find, as I did, that Mar...

The one thing, however, that he did not mention and I wish he had, was that veteran's paid a reduced fee. I didn't know that until after I'd paid. I suppose that's not strictly considered course material, but I could have saved a few bucks if I'd known about that. That's what can happen when one do...

The day I received my pin the status was 'processing application'. Of course, it was about three weeks from the date that DPS received my application before I received my pin. See my signature block.
