Re: New Taurus PT709 9mm
Finally got to hit the range with my slim. Nothing fancy just some federal fmj. I tell you what, I was surprised big time with well this little darlin took the pain. felt recoil was softer than my wifes Bersa .380. Even one handed it was easily maintained. As for accuracy, well I'm not enough of a marksman to comment one way or another but I will say that I does the trick for me. Definately a wise purchase IMO. Now to see if I can find any Hornady Critical Def ammo. Hope she chews that up just as easily.

Re: New Taurus PT709 9mm
Clipdraw.com , took about a week to come in. I got the black universal version. Way simple install. $25 something after tax.YabuUS wrote:Crapshoot, where did you find the clipdraw?Crapshoot wrote:ok so I put a clipdraw on my slim and have been carrying it around non-stop for a few days now. I can barley tell its their. This thing rocks in terms of concealability. For me it hits that perfect sweet spot between anytime and any appearal carry and effective caliber. My one and only very minor gripe(so far) is the grip. My pinky basically has nothing to hold onto, so It rides underneathe the clip. Otherwise I am love'n this gun.

YabuUS wrote:Just returned from a session at American Shooting Center. Shot 100 rds through the new Taurus PT709 Slim. The gun performed flawlessly. Can't say quite the same for my marksmanship, however. I tend to shoot low and left. The sights on the Slim are adjustable, but I didn't have the right tool with me. The gun was very controllable and the recoil was not uncomfortable. I did invest in a mag loader to save the strain on my thumb. Also bought a box of 20 Federal Hydra Shok 124gr JHP at Carter's Country on the way home. Box of 20 for $24.95. I'm very satisfied with the Slim.
That's good to know I was a bit concerned, haven't had time to hit the range yet but I am more optomistic about it now. Thanks for the range report.

I just picked 1 up today and it came with two 7 rnd clips, maybe they plan to add mag extentions later on like the pps.bobbb wrote:From what I've read on TaurusArmed.net they haven't started shipping 9-round mags yet..
