talltex wrote:If it's a Mark III Trooper it has the shrouded ejector and they were built starting in late 1969/70... (Colt made a Trooper model prior to that without the shrouded ejector). The Detective Specials are also identified by the ejector shroud. The exposed ejector rod model was built from the 1920's to 1972...72 and later models had the shrouded ejector. They are really well built revolvers.
