Yeah, same thing happened to me. I was driving on I-10 towards Austin for the weekend. We were in my friend's VW bug and we had our bags in the back seat along with his climbing equipment (rock climber). I get stopped for rolling through a stop sign after getting gas, which I should admit was proba...

"If you've got nothing hide, what's the problem?" While I would have nothing to hide, and have never really been the direct subject of any search, reasonable or unreasonable (ok there was that time on the New York Thruway with the 7 long guns in the back seat and the Trooper, but that was...

Yeah, Shooter's Station and Gun Emporium aren't too far apart. I've shot at Shooter's Station and like it alot. I stopped in Gun Emporium one day. Didn't shoot, but the store was nice, and the range looked good. I've been wanting to shoot skeet there some time. As for Thunder Gun Range, I've had a ...

Re: Search of CHL holder vehicle,

Correct or not this is what I think, I feel the officer has every right to search only the area of the vehicle where the firearm could be within reach from where you are seated or if you are carrying the sidearm that they may disarm you themselves if the officer does not feel comfortable having you...

Thanks for the suggestions. The grassburr website has some neat stuff. If I didn't have a truck with bench seat I could just do what nitrogen suggests, but the bench seat is the kicker here.

Those definitely look like nice gunsafes, but that's not what I meant. I don't plan on needing to lock up my gun inside my car (although thinking about it I may need a safe for going to places where chl is not allowed). What I'm looking for is some kind of holster that can be concealed yet give me r...

I don't know how long it will take to mail but I'm leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back till Monday night. Maybe I'll have a present waiting for me in the mailbox.

Which phone number are you guys using? My buddy at work just called and he got a recording saying to write an email or snail-mail letter. ETA: I've also lived in College Station, Midland, Austin, and Conroe within the last 5 years so I may be waiting for each of the local guys in those counties to g...
