What's the murder count up to in Houston so far this year? 2017 - YTD - 114 2016 - YTD - 130 2015 - YTD - 128 This data is a few days old but gives you an idea. Our current Homicide rate pales in comparison to the the 80's. I'm only looking at UCR data back to 1985 but homicides peaked at 608 in 19...

The instructor recommended anyone with a CHL not carry even on our personal time. He said do what you feel you have to do, but he advised against it. To me that is some really conflicting information. He strongly recommended we did carry off duty, but not as a CHL holder while in the academy? That ...

I've done the same thing on occasion when I work plain cloths assignments especially when I'm out and about interviewing witnesses. I keep my badge and police ID in a neck holder that is pretty obvious. Some people just clip their badge to a belt. He could have been on duty and decided to have dinne...

Ranges that allow 50 BMG in Houston

Finally got my AR-50 after a year of looking for one. Seems like the only outdoor range in Houston that allows them is ASC. Anyone know of other ranges that allow 50 BMG rifles?
