Several people now who have submitted after I did, and have received their plastic. Still processing on mine. What gives??

Well, I posted too soon. Status changed today to Application Completed - license issued or certificate active!

I sent mine 7/1, so I'm hoping I'll be one of the first July-ers to receive the license.

Stay focused, Sarge. The Texas DPS has no intent on managing your health care. That is something/somewhere altogether different. DPS has hired a bunch of new people to process the huge increase in applications. I'm not surprised that there will be unfortunate newby mistakes made. Not a government conspiracy to keep you from getting your CHL.

Sent in application 7/1/09. Received PIN 7/20/09. Now, the loooong wait to receive the license.
