Re: June 2009 Applications
Actually, I opened a separate blank word document, used the "insert" tab at the top, found the "Symbols" and rooted through there until I found it. Put it on the document and then copy/pasted it into the post. You can actually assign it to a key on the keyboard if you use them frequently, but I didn't see any point in that, as often as I use it. Many other neat symbols in there as well.......

Re: June 2009 Applications
I believe they use the same printer as they do for Driver's Licenses. The new format for the DHL is identical to the CHL. Perhaps that has some effect.

Re: June 2009 Applications
Don't be too jealous.....the wait for the plastic is harder than the wait for the status change to "completed".........trust me. Personally, I can see where bureaucracies take so long to do things, and make things so difficult to do. Its their nature in justifying their own existence. Why it takes so long for a piece of first class mail to go 200 miles is beyond me...........I believe it has more to do with printer capacity and QA at this moment than the mail service, though. If all those new-hires are finally caught up on background checks, put them on the printer 24/7 and QA the plastics before they stuff them in the envelopes and drop them off at the post office on they way home after their shift............Efficiency in action!!

Colonel Potter...one of my heroes.....
I actually very seldom go to Wally World, but perhaps a bag of Cheetos instead of nachos.....that'll get your hands all orange and icky.....
Improvise, adapt, and overcome!!!

Re: June 2009 Applications
Ok, ok.....I'll hang around and keep you guys entertained
I wasn't saying I was going to disappear off the face of the earth,(although there may be some out there who wouldn't mind that....), studying and homework are taking up a LOT of my time these days. Today is more Physics, Math, and History, with a little Management Information Systems thrown in for good measure. Definitely keeps and old man on his toes. I have become a true believer that mental exercise can be more draining than physical exercise. I'll be slipping in and out of the forum regularly, I assure you.
Can't really break up the three stooges, you, me, and USA1, can we??
Someday we'll try a Group Wally Walk.........have to buy the Economy Size Nachos......

Re: June 2009 Applications
I agree with Lost in Austin on finding this forum being a good thing. Lots of good information and company to while away the time as well. Rest assured that while I may not frequent as often once the plastic arrives, I will not be a stranger. Of course, there are those who would say I am strange enough as it is....

Re: June 2009 Applications
I have worn the numbers out on keys I use to log in to check the status. If anyone wanted to hack my information, they wouldn't even have to turn on the laptop. Just find the worn out numbers........
