Re: Texas mom points gun at fighting schoolgirls

We sure do get a lot of cell phone videos of this kind of thing. Fights among youngsters, assaults and other such mayhem. There are too many folks out there living through a lens and not participating in life. I am all for documentation, evidence gathering and such, but when the stuff hits the inter...

Re: TX Gun Range (between Mansfied and Midlothian)

Rest assured, there is nothing fancy about this place, but I have found it refreshing and comfortable. If you want to shoot sitting, I would recommend bringing your own sandbags/rifle rests and such. Unless, of course you have a bipod on your rifle already. The 50 yard shooting area is angled slight...

Re: Never leave home without it

All my pocket stuff goes to the same resting place every evening. Then a quick self check prior to leaving the house. Now if I can only get the wife to do the same. :totap: "Have you seen my purse?" "Have you seen my keys?" "Have you seen my debit card and driver's license?&...

Re: Motorcycle New Law 1/1/2015

Your reply is appreciated! I did refer to it as a law early in my post, and misspoke when later referring to it as a bill. My bad, and good catch on your part. I guess the strap that bridges the seat between my part and the back seat is compliant. My wife's little Suzuki has a strap as well, althoug...

Re: Congratulations You Have Been Selected To Receive...

I have "won" or been "specially selected to receive" many things via phone or mail. I have also had my current cell phone number for about 4 years now and still receive debt collector calls for the previous owner. I'm quite certain that I don't even remotely sound like the female...

Re: Motorcycle New Law 1/1/2015

1411922570152.jpg I'm going to have to read this law carefully before I comment further, but my initial take is that although they may be required, is it also required that the passenger hang on to them :confused5 ? You can lead a horse to water, after all.... Personally I don't see the need for th...

Re: TX Gun Range (between Mansfied and Midlothian)

Well folks, I had today off from work and decided to give them a call. They are indeed open, although with limited facilities at this time. There are multiple distances available on the pistol range. The 50 yard range is nice and there is a 100 yard area as well. The exact distances on the 100 yard ...

Re: What did Santa bring you shootiing related?

Ruger Mini-14. Nice little rifle. Reminds me of the M-14's I used to shoot in the Navy. Looking forward to getting it out and having some fun!

I've noticed before that the trick or treaters were older as the evening wore on. Garage doors go down and lights out at that point.

Re: North Texas Tollway Authority

I used the toll road last weekend and am curious to see what the bill will be. Both my truck and the motorcycle have toll tags, but the motorcycle was on the trailer, which only has one axle and no toll tag. By all rights I should pay for three axles on my truck's tag, but I bet I get charged for th...
