After all the , , , , , , , and that I've done the last "while", I can finally say my license (notice I haven't called it plastic lately) arrived today. Pardon me a moment,

OK, that moment is over. I was told it was approved two weeks ago yesterday and I should have it in a week (since it was sooo late). Well, UPS picked it up from DPS yesterday at 5:29 PM - it was delivered at 10:15 AM today. I guess after @147 days (I've actually forgot how to figure it out) they thought it REALLY needed to be delivered.
None-the-less, I'm not going to , my buddy lonewolf is still in here. I'll make sure we get to when he gets his.
Oh and

Was I the last to get their license who submitted in April?

It is getting REALLY dark in here though. I'll bet geekwagon and racer_13b forgot about us and turned out the lights when they left. I'll see if I can find the switch.

Need I say more? I did get ANOTHER (the forth) email from DPS today saying my application was approved and my license was mailed 9/3 . Maybe oneday!
But since both racer_13b and geekwagon got theirs today - Am I it for April?

Tuesday sure is a long time from now!

I never knew how long Mondays could be. Hopefully all will be finished tomorrow when/if my license arrives.

No License in the mail today. Tuesday sure is a long ways off - oh well, that's the next time the mail runs - it's going to be a VERY loonnngggg weekend.

Anyway, it seems I may not be the last person from April to get their license. I checked online today and my status has officially changed. I guess all the fixed my status checker. I figure it's about time since they called me a week ago last Monday to tell me I was approved. Now, with my luck, it will be sitting in the post office on Monday; a no delivery day.
Anyway, there will be a final celebration when the plastic arrives

Generally a grand total of two days from Austin to Pearland. A lot of "stuff" has been mailed back and forth to Austin from here. Gee, wonder if I was exposed to more DPS talk (the tell him what he wants to hear method, but it's going to take us - DPS - another week!).

I did the exact same thing this morning and you know what? The exact same thing DID NOT happen . I'd love to believe the people that called and emailed me last week, but hey I have no plastic to show for it AND my status check still says "Processing Application".
If what those kind folks said last week is true - I will have plastic before my status changes (hoping anyway).
Oh and to answer your question - Bureaucracy!

Kinetikz, don't panic - if there was a delivery for you they should have attempted today as well and left another slip - if not today, the second attempt may be tomorrow. Either way, they should have some record of it without a tracking number (meaning by street address) at the pick-up location.
Dicion, our UPS closes at 8:00 and the driver from the route that delivers to our neighborhood doesn't return until between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. Sometimes it's a long wait when I have to go pick up one of my new toys, but it's worth it - I have actually waited till after 10:30 PM to pick someting up before (it was 21+ signature only). "Travel" over there and you can do the Wally Walk on the way home

I woulld like to know where mine is - I get phone calls and emails (last Monday and Tuesday) stating it would be a week for me to receive it, a week and 2 days later, still nothing - this is getting old. Also still waiting for my broken status page to change - I have a feeling that it will be another week or so -
