I purchased a 96A1 about a year ago and I like it so much that I have worked it into my rotation and carry it about 80% of the time. The double action trigger pull is very long and heavy. The first time I shot it I thought there was something wrong! Nope, that is just the way it is. Fantastic gun though in my opinion. I just practice that double action shot. Actually, I don't think it is a bad thing. In an event where I had to use it for defense, I imagine there will be a lot of adrenaline so a heavy pronounced trigger pull could prevent nervous fingers from discharging it before I mean to. Lots of practice and familiarity is the best solution IMO.
