I suppose that if someone wants to live that way it is their choice, but to try and force that philosophy on the rest of us seems unreasonable. People seldom react they way they think they will when faced with a stressful situation. I have seen some tough talkers turn tail and run when trouble actually came knocking. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these peaceful hippie leftist types defend their lives with a viscousness that would make Eastwood cringe if they were actually threatened with violence. It is easy to be a pacifist when you are not in any real danger.
