Randy sounds like you are in the same boat I'm in still waiting on background check.
When I asked how long they been doing it the lady told me that they could have up to 180 days to do it but they don't like to tell people that.
She also said that it will not take 6 months

Yours is along the same timeline as mine Except DPS misspelled my name.
When I called them they said I did it
Told them no I know how to spell it.
Called yesterday to see if they fixed of course not.
Since I had them on the phone asked if they needed new photos,prints,blood,etc.
Was told just waiting on bg check.
Great under a misspelled name.
Asked if this would start me all over and was told no.
