One strategy is to buy multiple safes instead of one much larger one. It divides up your valuables. Thieves usually have limited time to try to move or break into one much less multiples.

I shopped around for safes a while back and looked for a good mover to put one in for me. In talking to him, he told me he has worked on all kinds and moved them for years. For the money, he likes the Winchester safes. He said you can spend a lot more and get more, but in the price range the Winchesters are in they are a bargain. We are happy with ours. We did get the one from TSC on sale. I am considering adding the liberty motion alarm to the safe too.
