As for feminism being outdated - it will never be outdated until equality is achieved - not quotas, not special treatment, not affirmative action, either for or against females. We're not there yet in the US, and will not be until hiring and promotional opportunities are gender-blind, because so much of Americans' self-identity is tied into what they do for a living. Do not keep me from a job I'm qualified for, and do not give me a job for which I'm not qualified. Pretty simple, no?

Do I think all people should be treated equally? No, I do not. I could readily be called a meritocrat (I know that 's not a word, but cannot at this point think of the proper description for one who believes in a meritocracy). I think people who are smart and have a strong work ethic and morals are worth more, to a society, than the people who do not; those who do have those characteristics should be able to exercise them to their fullest, regardless of gender - and those who are not "pulling their weight" (in some form) should not have the privileges granted to those who do.
I wish more people had your enlightened point of view, men and women. Unfortunately, there are feminists who consider being male at best inferior at worse a disease. Unfortunately the craziest voice is often the loudest. And they are trying to push out your moderate voice and replace it with their own agenda. Much like what is happening with Islam. Can we convert America into a meritocracy? No not while political correctness rules the day

Re: My Guns Are Pretty (And Safer Than Your Tattoos)

Feminist an about as outdated as unions. A lot of people think feminist want women to be equal to men but what they really want is for women to be superior to men. If they want equality for all peoples they would be call equalist.

I don't see feminist trying to pressure the military into lifting the ban on women in infantry, artillery or other direct combat roles. Women are not asked to enroll into the selective service program.

There are places in the world where sharia law is prevalent Iran will soon stone a women to death for adultery. Feminist are not protesting this en-mass or trying to raise awareness. If they are doing such thing they have a terrible publicist. I don't see them on the news twitter or even youtube. Like every other left group they are afraid of appearing anti Muslim.

Now they are trying to rewrite American history. They recently demanded the Founding Fathers be relabeled to the less sexist Founders. There is so much real work to be done but these "womyn" keep wasting our time with nonsense
