Re: Armed and Anxious
Don't you love how that edited footage makes it look like black people were attacked at Trump rallies because Trump supporters just don't like black people?

Re: Texas State University Student Senate Requests Expanded Campus Carry
This isn't new for TX State. I was there at the forum when it was first being debated a few years ago. The university police were adamantly against campus carry while the students were in favor. Fortunately, the police didn't vote, and the measure passed to recommend campus carry.

Re: CA: Maybe already too late for them
Why doesn't everyone just carry pepper spray? It's cheap, very effective, and it causes zero alarm when you carry it with your finger on the trigger. I have found from personal experience that a teenager will switch from fight to polite in a fraction of a second when a pepper spray canister is point...

Re: CA: Maybe already too late for them
Is it even allowed by police policy to detain a perp uncuffed by holding on to their clothes? Sometimes you just have to cut bait.

Re: CA: Maybe already too late for them
The crowd seemed to be ever growing. I kept wondering what the older gentleman with the stick was going to do. Unless you've got cuffs, a badge, and backup on the way, it just doesn't seem like a good idea to detain someone. Maybe I'm just seeing it from an LTC's perspective, but it seemed like a po...

Re: CA: Maybe already too late for them
When touching and tugging starts to happen, you have to weigh the benefits to the risks involved. Would it have endangered anyone to let the kid go? Would it have endangered anyone dance around with the kid with a bunch of good Samaritans trying to rescue the child.

Re: CA: Maybe already too late for them
Why didn't he announce that he was law enforcement to the crowd and ask for someone to call 911. This man had zero visible identification indicating that he was a peace officer. If I see a man wrestling with a screaming child who isn't his parent and shows zero indication of being law enforcement, I...

Re: Off Duty Cop Holding Child And Negligent Discharge
If I see an unidentified man holding a child while he and a crowd are begging and fighting for his release, I'd pepper spray the guy before he gets the kid in a van. Anyone can, (and I'm sure have) claimed to be a cop while abducting a child. That's why I'd like to see policey stuff in this video li...

Off Duty Cop Holding Child And Negligent Discharge
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fhij-bmwCJ8 ***Language Alert*** Seems really stupid to hold onto a child with no identifiable means of law enforcement displayed. And there is no doubt that firing off a negligent discharge while trying to wrestle a child and a group attempting to rescue the child is s...

Re: Shooting Situation at Rolling Oaks Mall San Antonio
Why in the world would an unarmed man confront two armed men? Looks like the LTC was willing to sit back until shots were fired. Sounds like he handled things well. Still dicey with two against one. Glad he is ok. Praying for those injured. Any update on other shooter? That is exactly my thoughts. ...

Re: A no gun sign for CHLers?
I once saw an official looking sign with similar wording and TABC lettering. I showed a photo to a friend, and the 2 of us eventually figured out it was an old 51% side where the red 51 had faded off. Is that a possibility?

If This Toe Touches This Carpet
First campus carry experience just now. I just walked my 15 year old to an office in the UT Moody Communication Building. Big ugly 30.06, I guess justified by some kind of medical research, on the office door. I stood at the entrance with the door held open and asked, "Do you need me?" A w...
