I inherited a model 60 and love it.
I'd like to get a blued model 36 also if possible.
Let me know what you got. Doesn't have to be perfect condition.

Can anybody school me on .38 SPL +P?
I inherited an original S&W model 60 (no dashes, in SS). It's early 1970's from the S/N. It is in very good condition, no flame cutting, no cylinder shake, barrel gap is 1 sheet of printer paper and that measures 0.003 which I read is spot on. I am reading varying opinions on whether +P is OK. S...

Re: Oliver North to speak at 30.06ed Church
In Texas, private property owners are legally allowed to limit the civil rights of visitors, even if the exercise of those civil rights do not harm the property owners or anyone else in any way. Some of us cheer this as a win for private property rights. Some of us think this is unfortunate and do ...

Re: Gun Law Question
Didn't you sell that rifle and buy another one for yourself or trade it for something with someone? I thought it was lost in a boating accident..... Funny and tempting, but the most defensible course is the truth. Document the transfer through an ffl, hopefully without being there at the same time ...

Re: SCOTUS rules "hate speech" constitutionally protected.
Does this mean Texans are no longer at risk of losing their LTC for using salty language in Walmart? I don't know. The issue is "hate speech", not profanity. It may be that profanity isn't protected speech. There are numerous, no, NUMEROUS, cases of police being given the middle finger an...

Re: Anti Asset Forfeiture bill?
I saw the Trump hoopla about trying to get the sheriff fired that is behind anti forfeiture laws. As with many things, he is completely wrong. Is there a bill proposed? Is it going to be similar to NM HB 560 which is a pretty decent law? Can you elaborate on why you feel President Trump is wrong on...

Re: The State of Texas made a mistake? SAY IT AIN't SO!
My daughter is a good parallel parker, so she did OK on that part and passed the first time around. Her friend just drove right past it and said she wasn't going to do it. They will deduct a few points for skipping it which is better than failing it. If you do OK on the rest of the items, you will p...

How about I tear off the bright orange "steal me" tag and then steal it?oohrah wrote:Consider also that the tag increases the visibility of the bag to supervisors and other handlers, so that it receives more scrutiny, and makes a thief less likely to act if they think they are being watched?

Next I will try .40 in my 9mm.
Yeah, I know you say it won't fit. I will make it fit, here hold my beer.

FS: Seekins AICS short action bottom and AICS magazines
I reconfigured my Remington 700 and have some very lightly used, like new parts for sale. First is a short action Seekins AICS bottom metal. http://www.seekinsprecision.com/parts-and-accessories/bolt-rifle-accessories/seekins-precision-aics-short-action-no-magazine.html They want $219, I'll say $150...

Re: Why does verbal warning trump compliant signage?
I guess I am playing devil's advocate here as I wish that a business open to the public could not post 30.06 or 30.07. On the other hand I own property that is posted properly with no trespassing signs and if you do trespass I have the right to tell you to leave and if you don't leave I have the ri...

Re: Why does verbal warning trump compliant signage?
It is a very slippery slope when we legislate away the ability of the owner of property to determine what they will tolerate on that property. No shoes, no shirt, no service. We have already taken away the right of a property owner to say whether smoking is allowed on property they own and pay taxe...
