Wow! Isn't that what The Terminator carried in that movie?
Could be.... I don’t know. All I know is that if your gun is short, you have to take steps to make it look bigger. I figure this kit is kind of like the proverbial stuffed sock in the pants......
I especially like the little stabby thing at the end.......as if a load of 12 gauge buckshot won’t hurt bad enough, here, let me poke you real hard too.
But I don’t believe that full effect is achieved though unless you’re wearing a heavy biker jacket, have a German accent, and red glow-in-the-dark eyeballs that display data on the retinas.
Plus, the full length rail is pretty handy if you want to mount a US Optics long range sniper scope, or maybe a headlight off of an old Buick, or maybe even one of the early starlight scopes they used to put on the M2 carbines.........it can even double as a cheese grater for those late night grilled cheese Sammie’s in a fox hole. Who doesn’t remember those fondly?

Call me paranoid, but I'm thinking after bump stocks, other things are going to be further scrutinized and it's cheap enough. Easy choice. I got the two tone, and it feels pretty easy to handle. I will try to get out and fire it in the next few weeks. I just hope it isn't as stout as the pistol grip Mossy 500.
Total different animal. The birdshead grip to me is a lot easier.
I've never shot a pistol grip SG, but I agree that the grip on the Shockwve is not bad. The strap on the forend helps. I can see that the physiology of shooting a pistol grip requires a different angle on the wrist. , while the bird's head has my wrist and hand aligned with my forearm.

Took the Shockwave to the Range and ran 25 rounds through it. I shot 13 rounds of Spartan 2¾" 00 Buckshot and 12 rounds of Federal Flite Control LE #1 Buckshot. I used gloves for the first few rounds to get a feel for the gun, but it was a pain to reload with them so I abandoned that. Didn't really need them. I shot mostly with the SG at arms length in front of me just below shoulder height which seemed to be the best for me. I shot a few "aimed" with the butt about 8-10" in front of my face. I was surprised by the tight patterns of the Federal #1 buckshot in this short barrel, even at 50 feet. I shot mostly at 30-35 feet with both the #00 B and the #1 B. I was going to shoot at what I think is the 7 yard mark but I forgot to check at that range. I think for in close home defense I will use the Spartan 00 buck since it had a better spread at 30 feet. I wish I had checked at 21 feet. Recoil is not as bad as I thought it would be. The strap Mossberg puts on the forend is a definite help.

How wide is the mouth of that scabbard? I have a side saddle shell holder on the Shockwave that I am keeping, and I think it will extend a few inches into the scabbard.
I have a shell card on the side of mine and it goes all the way in without a problem. I am not sure about the one Puma has.
I'll check the space. I was at my LGS and they were installing a shell holder on a Shockwave receiver for a customer. I bought some mini-shell slugs and an adapter. They have some buckshot ordered.

Plenty of Federal Law Enforcement (LE132-1B) and Federal Law Enforcement Hydra-Shoc Rifled Slugs. Thanks to Pawpaw for the information on the ammo.
I got an email from Grab A Gun that they have them in stock once again!
Are you getting the same scabbard as Puma Guy?
Joe
Yes sir. I found the same scabbard in Ebay for 17.99 and free shipping. I first ordered from Amazon and found it on Ebay so I immediately canceled the order on Amazon. The Shockwave was won on Gunbroker for $310.00 no CC fees and $10.00 flat shipping.
That's an all around bargain on both the scabbard and Shockwave.

Are you going to carry this in plain sight? I am just asking for knowledge not that I have any reason to be against it.
No. I will probably cover it with a loose bucket seat cover with a vertical opening to access it. I use a towel to cover my current truck shotgun in the back seat.

I am LIKING your whole setup!
Where did you find the Federal Flite Control #1 Buckshot shells?
Joe
I posted in another link that I found it at the Ammunition Store. They still have it in stock.

Gonna try to get to the range to try it with the Federal #1 Buckshot Flite control shells if PSC dries out before I have some surgery that will put me out of commission for a while.
Ordered one of these in black. I've got to figure a way to attach it for easy reach access from the rear of my truck. Voodoo Tactical 20-8916 Breacher's Shotgun Scabbard

I have essentially that same scabbard, purchased at a Fort Worth mil-surp store, for my 20" 590A1. It is a VERY handy way to transport a shotgun.
It was that or a see through back pack.

Soccerdad1995 wrote:I got one from a Houston gun shop last week. When I picked it up, I also got some interesting legal advice, which basically boiled down to "it's legal to have at home and at a range now, but you can't carry it in your car until September 1." I'm pretty sure that the person at the shop who told me this is not a lawyer, so I will take that advice for what it's worth.
I have not shot it yet, but I did see on another forum where a guy managed to get his hand cut up by the safety, so he filed down the rough edges on the back of the switch. I may try doing that, as well as adding a laser / light combo. Just need to get a top rail, and will then mount it upside down.
my FFL will not complete the sale for mine until September 1.
