Does your wife know that rats and mice urinate as they traverse your dwelling leaving nice trails of filth. I caught leptospirosis from the little buggers while cleaning out a building. As for the link in the original post: Controlling deer population by hunting, i.e. killing them evokes emotional reactions that no amount of logic can overcome. Most people either get it or they don't. Just because deer decimate gardens and landscape vegetation in many places and often become common roadkill and become a nuisance will not influence those who view them as Bambi. A visit to New Braunfels to see the inbred, dog sized deer running amok evokes sadness for those that truly value the whitetail VS. giddy joyful noises from those that have no inkling of what is really happening. She is correct that people cause it, but she doesn't understand the implications of that statement.
