I saw some of the language that was allowed to describe Charles and I quit the TGT forum. As I said from the start I don't peruse the site much, but I had never seen the "F" word because if I had I'd have been gone instantly. I've left many others that allow filthy language and outrageous personal attacks. So TGT I pulled a Hank Snow - I'm Movin' On. Count me as your friend anytime, Carl!carlson1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 3:52 pm Yea he was the culprit. We were doing good talking about the State Fair and we decided to bash Mr. Cotton I lost my temper. To be honest I not worried. If you are my friend I will defend you even though you have something that others dont like. If you are my friends enemy then you are my enemy.

Re: DELETED FROM TEXAS GUN TALK
I couldn't find it on TGT. My search came up with two Renegade strings that said "Deleted"RoyGBiv wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 5:17 pm That TGT tirade certainly seems uncharacteristic of you Carl... You were definitely having a bad day.
I'll admit I did enjoy your eloquent use of sentence enhancers.
Sorry you got banned, you are normally a voice of reason, even on the rare occasion we disagree.
There are, honestly, a lot of questions I'd love to hear from Charles about, but understand he's not able to speak openly here.
[Aside from the NRA things I understand he can't discuss.... I do wish he would find it in his heart to grant someone the authority to work the new member and lost password processes here!!]

We're only human. BTW I hope your procedure was successful.carlson1 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 8:43 pmThank you. I am so glad they are gone because I lost my temper and said things I would never say. I was very embarrassed not for the stance I took, but the words I used. They were not curse words just hateful words I don’t use.puma guy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 3:39 pmNot to worry, Carl. Since they banned you the posts are gone and any words you may have used are lost in the Ethernet! Beside being your friend we all know he is a great friend of the 2nd Amendment and all who benefit from the rights afforded to us by it.carlson1 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 2:13 pm Those that have read my lost there I do apologize. I shouldn’t have used the words I used. Mr. Cotton is my friend. One thing I have and always will do is stand behind my friends. No excuse for my words. Rest assured if you are my friend I will fight for you.

If they were to ban me I probably wouldn't notice.
Bottom line--Dr. Carlson, you keep doing you--you are just fine.
It's their loss. Plenty of us are happy to be a part of wherever you choose to be.

I too believe in loyalty. For several years before Covid a group of us met for breakfast once a month including Charles. A stand up guy of the highest caliber!

Re: DELETED FROM TEXAS GUN TALK
That was my take also. In the time I've been here I don't recall more than a couple of members being sent packing and they were given multiple chances to change theri ways. I recall the screen name of one, but the other name escapes me. I've only been here since mid 2009, so of course it's possible there were some before I joined.

Re: DELETED FROM TEXAS GUN TALK
I don't go there much, so I missed it I guess. I see that Charles is still listed as a member, Mixed comments about him and his 2A efforts. Saw some that were critical of him and the NRA and some were ragging on the forum, but I just consider they are people who think 2A rights were magically supported and passed by legislators and the NRA has no effect on the process. Remember there are those who think the earth is flat. Others were critical of this forum, but it appears to be mostly sour grapes for being chastised or banned for breaking forum rules. TexasCHL is the cleanest gun forum in existence and some just can't abide.
Also saw that some of Renegade's comments were removed.
