Not having Mr Cottons active participation and not having him hand off some of the Admin chores is definitely draining participation from this place.

Probably the most sorely missed activity has been his following and reporting on pending Texas legislation during sessions...

I love TSRA but, they haven't done well filling the void on this from a communication standpoint.... I do have faith that TSRA is doing the work and fighting the fight, just not hearing about it as clearly as it was discussed here...
:iagree:
I always used the Texas firearms coalition website as a backup, but it's very understandable that Charles is way to legislature updates busy to do updates.

As a Preacher I am always talking, but I have been practicing this quality out of the pulpit the best I can. You can learn more by listening. Good quality to have I think.
:iagree: Listening is the most important trait in good communication.

K.Mooneyham wrote: Tue Sep 06, 2022 12:35 am I know this has been discussed before but I think that the "ammo shortage" really put a cramp on forum members shooting. Plus the heat this summer, at least for me, cut down on my shooting, as well. Less shooting equals less posts on the topic. However, folks do like to stay engaged with those they're used to conversing with, so other stuff gets posted.
All the above, plus let's not forget the effect Covid has had on activities.

I was not implying that the forum is dying, rather that it has many viewers, many of whom are not registered. Probably every forum has non-members who visit for myriad purposes, but aren't joiners.

Interesting observation of who's online

I just checked and there are 5 registered users on line and 186 "guests".. Apparently the post is very much alive, though someone said it may be dying. I noticed a couple of threads in the top 10 have a lot of views. One with over a quarter million and one with almost 800,000, Someone is checking us out!
