I used to answer the door for them, but just a crack with me mostly behind the door. One time the sales person didn't understand what "no" meant, so I opened the door a bit wider so he could see my full size 45 open carried on my hip. He left promptly.C-dub wrote:Well, I haven't done it yet, but I'd bet there's at least one of you that would answer the door with your weapon on your hip unconcealed for all to see.
Lately, I haven't been answering the door, but instead I just watch them through a window.
I actually had someone knock really loud today, then ring the door bell (which annoys me greatly), I looked through the window (behind where she was standing, away from the front door) and noticed that it was a female who looked kind of nervous and was standing off to the side. She was also looking around nervously. I decided to observe from my concealed position and eventually she just went away. She had the normal badge and clipboard and stuff.
What really "grinds my gears" is when they knock more than once or ring the doorbell multiple times when I don't answer. Like I didn't hear them or something!
