Only 119 days since applications were received on 25 March. Investigation was probably through Galveston county.
Now we wait for the plastic.

I had the same problem with DPS Switchboard, so sent them an e-mail. Two weeks later, all I got was a "Background Investigation in process - no estimate for completion." And, from what I can tell, having my Representative's office (Rep. Larry Taylor) call hasn't changed anything.dwdog wrote:I am on day 102. Plus, I am a law enforcement officer, why aren't I in the head of the line.

Received confirmation: 25 March
Contacted DPS: 12 June - told the background investigation was still in process
Contacted state representative: 26 June (91 days)
Representative's Office contacted DPS: 29 June
(Replied to us it would be expidited)
As of 4 July ... no change. My wife applied the same day - with the same result.
Has anyone tried asking DPS for a formal, post-90 day denial letter with the intent of demanding a hearing?
