Re: Fort Bend County

chuckybrown wrote:Yes, they mailed my original back, and highlighted what they wanted filled out. I had filled out the front of that form, on which you tell them how long you've been at that current residence. That's why I did not fill out the back, but I did so once it was sent back.

Bureaucrats!! :mad5 :mad5
well now I am concerned since they just asked for the dates - they did not send my original form

05/25/2008 - CHL Class
06/27/2009 - Mailed application to DPS
07/23/2009 - Received "Incomplete Application Letter"
07/24/2009 - Sent Updated Info Back to Austin
07/31/2009 - Back to "Processing"
XX/XX/2009 - Application Approved
XX/XX/2009 - Plastic in Hand

I got the letter yesterday telling me info missing on home/employment dates. both are 1997 to present, same house, same employer/location. typed up a letter spelling all that out and attached it to the letter they sent me and mailed it this morning....now for my question  they did not send back my original form to add dates, just told me they needed that info - did they send your originals back to add dates?

chuckybrown wrote:yeppers, that's the number!

Talked to the DPS since the detailed letter has not yet arrived - the info that is missing is that I did not list a second home address in my history, just the address where I have been living in Texas since I moved here in 1997....the same with my employer - same for the past 35 years, but that needs to be stated on the back.....what a crock! In my class we were told you did not need to go back further than 10 tears, well apparently that has changed. :banghead: :banghead:

I always thought my fingerprints would be kicked back :headscratch

Re: Fort Bend County

chuckybrown wrote:It took one week. I called the DPS number in advance, so I knew it was an "address issue", but not the specific info until the letter arrived. If you call the DPS number, you'll need to use your redial button, it took a long time to get through.....then I held about fifteen minutes. They were very nice once I reached them.

CB

Thanks for the info- what DPS # did you call? Edit-"For assistance in completing the information required, please contact DPS at 1-800-224-5744" - this is the # you called?

Re: Fort Bend County

chuckybrown wrote:Well, I failed to fill out the back of the form where you list your addresses. I've lived in my current home 15 years, and been with my employer 23+, so I didn't figure I had to fill out the back. Boy do I feel silly. I mailed it back yesterday.

I just got the -Application incomplete - missing information - detailed letter has been sent. - change this morning when I checked my status - is was at 'Processing' yesterday. how long did it take to get the letter from the DPS?
