Once you are pulled over you really don't have any control over how the encounter goes. You can be respectful and ask for discretion, and it may work, but it may not. The best bet is to not get pulled over in the first place. There is no way to make sure you don't inadvetantly commit an infraction, but being knowledegeable of the law, and being a respectful and courteous driver will help.
