Strange Failure
I posted this on the 1911 forum, but I will post it here as well.
I bought my first 1911 two days ago. It is a used (few hundred rounds through it) Kimber Eclipse Pro II. After I bought it I ran exactly 100 rounds of WWB through it and it was flawless until the very last round. I noticed that when the second to last round was ejected, the slide didn't go all the way forward. I pulled the slide back slightly and realized that the last round was in the chamber, but was in front of the extractor.
I let the round fall out and reloaded it into the magazine and it fed fine. I ejected it and repeated this a few more times but it never happened again.
Has anyone else had an experience with this. Is it something I should worry about or was it just a fluke.
Thank you very much for your help.
(sorry so long-winded)
