Steel Match in North Dallas Area

I was describing a Steel Match to my boss and he really wants to go to one. The only weekend we both have available to go is this coming weekend. Are there any local (or reasonable distance) matches close to McKinney this weekend? I think the club in Greenville only has IDPA (also fun, but we are ta...

Grapevine Vintage Railroad

My son has been invited to a birthday party at the Grapevine vintage railroad to ride the Thomas train.
Am I allowed to carry there?
Quick responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Screen Door in Dallas

Does anyone know if the Screen Door restaurant or the Meyerson Symphony are posted. My boss is taking us to both tonight and need to know. I didn't find either on texas3006.com.

The sooner you can tell me the better.
Thank you so much.

Re: Stoeger Cougar Opinions

Thank you for the replies so far. Are there any comparable guns that he should look at before making his decision?

Stoeger Cougar Opinions

I have a friend that is considering getting a CHL. He has always liked the look of Berrettas and he went to Academy and handled the Stoeger Cougar in .40s&w and liked the way it felt in his hand. I don't know much about it other than it is a rebranded Beretta. Any thoughts on this model and any ...

Re: A Good Problem

I have a Kahr MK40 (steel frame) and it kicks less than my Glock 23 (also .40s&w) and has the best DAO trigger I have ever fired. Oddly enough, it also seemed to have about the same recoil as my cousin's Kahr P9 (polymer). The weight seems to make more difference than I had thought previously. I...

Strange Failure

I posted this on the 1911 forum, but I will post it here as well. I bought my first 1911 two days ago. It is a used (few hundred rounds through it) Kimber Eclipse Pro II. After I bought it I ran exactly 100 rounds of WWB through it and it was flawless until the very last round. I noticed that when t...

Re: Shooting a BB gun in back yard

I just reread that and I am a bit long-winded.

(On a long-winded note, this post puts me at enough to post classifieds on the forum. Now to look for a Commander-Sized 1911...)

Re: Shooting a BB gun in back yard

Thank you very much for the replies. I am not worried about the neighbors complaining. The lady that lives on one side is never home and the neighbors on the other side have three boys that would probably want to shoot with us and the dad has a Utah CCL(he's actually from Utah. He doesn't have a gun...

Shooting a BB gun in back yard

Who, specifically do I call to see if it is legal to shoot a BB gun in my back yard? We called the police on new years eve because there was a group of people shooting off fire works on our street (we don't mind that they were shooting the fireworks but they do this every 4th of July and new years e...

You can buy a .40 to 9mm lone wolf conversion barrel for about $100 (last time I checked. I also have looked at one for my 23) for your 23. Just pick up a magazine or two and you'll have a "G19".
