My packet came back again for my pictures. Apparently I didn't sign the resend's. Maybe I can get it before Christmas.

When taking my CHL class, I had a question about my run in's with the law. I asked about a theft charge that was dismissed, not deferred, about 10 years ago. He said not to worry about it. The more I read on this forum, the more nervous I became, so I posted a question about it on another thread in this forum. Long story short, I ended up placing a call to DPS to check on the matter.

Guess it was a good thing I did, because apparently they are requesting new pictures (thanks a lot CVS!) due to poor picture quality. I guess that at least gave me a heads up, as my online status still says "Processing Application", despite the fact they supposedly have already mailed out a letter regarding my pictures. I guess I'll just postponed a little longer.

Just received my PIN number on Saturday. While I know it will say "Processing Application" for awhile, it does at least feel like I'm making some kind of progress.

While I know it's ridiculous to get antsy this early in the wait, I'm noticing I by others' dates of submitting their apps that I should be receiving my PIN soon. Then maybe I can start griping about seeing "Processing Application" like those that have gone on before me! I know it's not "Plastic In Hand", but I'll be glad to feel like I'm one step closer.

I wouldn't call it great big news, but I guess it's a step in the right direction. I noticed that my check was cashed on June 19th. I know I"m still a long ways from plastic or even a "processing application" status, but it's something I guess.

It's only been a week since I sent in my app..........


......and it still feels like too long.
