Right or wrong, perception is a huge factor in politics. Do you think Obama could have been elected if he was spoutin' off ebonics left and right? Why is it any different for any other demographic? We inherently detect social "differences" in others by our dialect, among other things, real or percieved. This is nothing new or some recent failing of society; it has always been this way.
I don't think anyone here is suggesting that she is somehow incapable of doing the job because she sounds different. But the distinct impression she gives to many people is not a good one - based solely on her presentation. Liberals have seized upon it; they have and will continue to mock her as a bumbling idiot.

Re: I Still Hate You, Sarah Palin
and her lexicon. I like ALOT of what she stands for, I just despise her presentation - and it hurts her politically, I think. A number of people I know think she's an idiot. They never bothered to listen to what she has to say because of how she says it, and they will never give her the chance. She may have a good foothold among republicons, but it's the independent crowd she has to win over. I don't know if she can do that, especially with the demo-rats trying to bury her.frazzled wrote:I'm all for defending her family against the media (some serious low blows there), butsorry, but her voice just grates on my spine.
