Re: May 2009 Applications
Plastic came today, 124 days door to door with a re-do of fingerprints. Had a sudden urge to shop at Wal-Mart. Went with my wife, bought some tie-downs for the truck among other things. Didn't need ammo but they didn't have any of my calibers any way. Stopped by OfficeMax for some office supplies and a quick stop at The UPS Store. Finished the trip by stopping at the bank to conduct some business. When we got home, my wife said "You had it with you!" That's good since she is very good at noticing when my appearance isn't just right. All in all, a good trip! So long, Waiting Room! Here's wishing the rest of you waiting short waiting times...and the pace at DPS surely seems to be picking up!

Re: May 2009 Applications
Whoop!!! I just logged in to check my application status and saw the magic words:
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active
Not too bad after having to submit a 2nd set of fingerprints.

Re: May 2009 Applications
Encouraging news. A friend of mine took his CHL class and mailed in his application two weeks earlier than me (class 5/2, application mailed 5/4). His application status changed to "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" yesterday. Maybe soon!

Re: May 2009 Applications
Bummer! Got a letter today stating fingerprints failed to meet minimum qualifications for classification. Fortunately, I can get fingerprints re-done on Saturday. Interesting letter is dated 6/17 but arrived here in San Antonio on 6/24.

New to the forum; waited until I received my PIN to post. Located in Bexar County, same address for 2 years. Previously in Kansas City, MO, two addresses over 13 years. Another data point to help estimate waiting time.
