It's my impression that Thunder Ranch in Oregon is intended to run smaller and fewer classes than TR ran in Texas. I defer to no one in my admiration for Clint and what he has achieved, but I think he wants to do more one-on-one work, which would be great, too, if you can afford it. I've got some training money to use up next year, and I'm seriously thinking about some of that time.

Alternatives are Gunsite and the Firearms Academy of Seattle if you're willing to travel that far. I've chatted with Marty Hayes of FAS, and I think he runs great real-world-oriented programs: if you've never tried to clear a double-feed one-handed with your weak hand before, it's an interesting experience.
