Thanks, so MUCH, folks! You've given me what I really was thinkin' I'd hear, to be honest.
Longtooth, I especially appreciate your well thought-out comments! That's the sort of stuff that really tends to make sense when you're trying to make a pretty big decision like this one.
Thanks to gigag04, too. You seem to have a grasp of things.
At least you have good taste in pistols, huh?!
I've been squirrelin' back cash at every opportunity for the past year in order to 'afford' a Kimber. So, that MIGHT mean that we can't REALLY afford it after all, huh?
The way I look at it, however, my life (or my family or friends' lives)...they are ALL worth the investment as far as I'm conserned.
So, I really appreciate your input on this!
Now! Does anyone know of a dealer or FFL in the Tomball or NW Houston area (or vacinity) that can get good PRICES on two of these CDP's? I've talked it over with my shootin' buddy and we agree that the CDP really IS the way to go. So, who ever sells ME one...will be sellin' HER one, too!

What? A man with no opinion?
Just yankin' your chain, txinvestigator. Couldn't resist.
I'm thinkin' that the ramped barrel of the CDP would be a nice touch. However, with the UC2, "the slide has the longest cycle time..." They may be so close that it'd be "six of one...and a half-dozen of the other."
Let's put it this way. IF they were the same price and you had your choice....

Kimber UC 11 or the CDP 11?
As you know, I shot my son's UC (he bought it used). It's abt 4-yrs-old. Sweet shooter! MUCH easier to conceal, I must agree! Even tried the Milt Parks VM2. Nice holster but the loops would be unused and the clips were WAY tough! Plus, waiting 3 months? Probably not.
Back to my question! Would the Kimber CDP 11 be worth the extra money (in your opinions, of course)?
Thanks...in advance!
