When HB 910 comes to the floor tomorrow for concurence vote it is a simple yea or nay vote. What determines its passage. IE: simple majority, plurality, 3/5 or what?

You see, I have to have SOMETHING to worry about tonight!

Maxwell, I know exactly how you feel! It IS confusing. The thing we have to do is educate ourselves so we know what's going on. And the way to do that is to read "How A Bill Becomes Law". It's extremely helpful when trying to sort out these confusing details. It can be found here:

After reading it, the article gives an EXTREMELY helpful flowchart of how a bill winds its way through the Legislature. It can be found on P. 11 of the article OR P. 19 of 73, if you go by the .pdf format.

Reading that article & constantly looking at that flowchart is the only thing that lets me keep my sanity.

That's what the confusion is right now. We don't know because we can't find the amendment just passed(or has not been published at this point in time), and compare the language to both amendments.

Just called the number Charles posted(thank you!) and asked Sen. Huffines to withdraw his amendment to the bill, as time is of the essence and continued debate might possibly kill the bill. The lady who answered the phone was very polite and said she'd pass on my message.
