Bladed, where did you find that statistic? According to the DPS Demographic Data, for calendar year 2014, the number of licenses issued to people under 21 was 237. Now that was for the Period: 01/01/2014 - 12/31/2014 and that was the number of CHL's issued during that period alone for that age group. I'm thinking that number of active CHL holders is much higher for that age group than the 324 you stated. I don't know about the other stats you quoted.

DPS publishes very good demographic data for both licenses issued during the year, and active license holders(as one lump sum). But the one statistic they do not publish is active license holders by age group. They only list licenses issued during the year, by age group.

It would be very interesting if they published demographic data of active CHL's by age group, but they don't. I often wonder why?
