Re: Packet Sent 1/11
xtrabullets, when you check online for your application status, does the screen actually say "Application Complete. License Active or Issued"?xtrabullets wrote:Not sure, might. It does seem that giving them a call every now and then sure speeded up my process though, hope you have the same luck.
If you are using what someone told you over the phone to update your signature line, IMO you're jumping the gun a little, as because it's gone to the printers means the application isn't complete. Some of us have experienced quite a delay after we were told it's at the printers.....up to a month to 6 weeks.....albeit that was back in August of last year.
I'm certainly not saying it's going to be that much longer for you to be sure! DPS process in batches, and it takes some time to run the batch, send it back to the processors for final approval before they update the status screen.
All in all, amazingly short processing time. Congratulations!

Re: Packet Sent 1/11
I think you're in good shape. You got it in about a month before expiration, according to:
"02/10/2009 - Packet and PIN Received
01/09/2010 - CHL class taken
01/11/2010 - Packet Mailed to DPS"
I guess the last question would be when did you apply for the application packet, and when did DPS receive your paperwork? All in all, I really think everything's fine.

Re: Packet Sent 1/11
Yes, there's a 1 year expiration if you applied for the application packet online, and a 2 year expiration if you received the application packet in class and sent DPS that one.jmdevera wrote:Thats what my status says right now...Im refreshing away!
I didn't know there was a 1 year expiration date. I'm pretty sure I made it with in that date. If not will there be any problems? I know I paid and my instructor switched 2 forms out with the "newer" ones... -Justin
If you DID NOT get the application packet to DPS in the 1 year time frame, then there's a good chance that DPS may, stress may, reject your application packet as time had expired.
What 2 forms did he change out?

Re: Packet Sent 1/11
Justin you're in good shape. You applied online and they received the application packet before the one year expiration of online applicants.
Your status right now probably is "Packet Mailed to Applicant". It should be changing over soon, as USA1 says, to "Processing Application". That's the only thing you'll see until "Application Approved. License Issued or Active", UNLESS there's some missing info in the packet, like USA1 described.
As you already have your PIN #, check away! I must have checked my status 4 or 5 times/day. I think that's common.
