The President's high school speech just ended. I listened and watched with great intensity. I digested and dissected every word he said. Where WAS the socialist indoctrination we were expecting? Where WAS the brainwashing we were told to expect?

I tried as hard as I could to shoot holes in his speech...to find something I could object to, even a little bit. But I couldn't. I could find nothing to fault in his speech. Nothing.

Exactly my point boomerang! Thank you. And until we can define that the current Presidential incumbent is doing just that, what is being said is merely "the sky is falling" rhetoric.

Please, let's don't distort the truth more than it already has been. Josef Goebbels used that tactic very successfully during his reign as propaganda minister for Hitler. We don't need those kinds of tactics to defend our ideals.

Personally, I think that unfortunately, a lot of parents out there don't put forth any effort to their child's education (among other things), and for those kids, this might be a positive message.

I'm hearing a lot of that. For me - I intend to watch His Majesty's address also, and we'll have a talk with the kids that night about what he said, what the implications are, and what he really means. We'll also talk with the school ahead of time to be sure that the environment surrounding the speech is neutral.

One thing I will not do is to totally close off my mind and permit myself to be sucked into a mass hysteria "the sky is falling" mentality. Nor will I permit myself to become party of a lynch mob mind set. I'll make up my own mind, thank you very much.

I've said it before and I will say it again. The current administration is displaying its dire need for a gun safety course, as it continues to shoot itself in the foot. I will also add that it needs desperately to go to the emergency room of the local hospital as it displays advance stages of foot and mouth disease: every time it opens its mouth it sticks its foot in it.
