Point taken Chip. But I have to say, it's to early in his term for the peoples to be so totally disenchanted with his new policies to start a movement for resignation.....that will take a few years, when the people see where he wants to lead the country. I think, and it's only my opinion, that with the Congressional elections in 2010, we will start seeing those changes occur.Chip wrote:Yeah.... but.... we stopped at Fuddrucker's the other night, and I saw a woman, 20 yrs old or so, proudly wearing her "A new hope has arrived!" There's no way he's going to resign, he's too much in love with the trappings of power. The thing to do is to work for a positive change - starting with a more conservative Congress in 2010. I hope he's a one-termer also, but it's going to take a lot of education of a lot of people to make that happen - many folks just don't want to see past the glitz. Obama's a rock star, that's all they need to know.
Back on topic - I don't carry a knife. But I really hate these back-door approaches that we see the guvmint taking when they try to sneak things like this through without honest discussion.
It all has to do with what I call the political pendulum. Like a pendulum on a grandfather clock...that slowly swings from left to right...right to left; so to will the political climate change in these United States...from the liberalism that is surfacing right now, back to a more sane approach(IMHO) to conservative leadership. That's been the history of this "Great Experiment" in Democracy, since its founding. It's just a matter of time.
