Re: XDM Conversion

Here is a site that I've found. I haven't purchased from them, but have seen good reviews.

Re: Ballancing primers, powders and bullets

2nd that. Great post.
Here is my justification to buy more powder and bullets.
Except that the prices and availability is crazy.

Re: Rookie questions on .223

"Since the factory length is 1.760" I assume they would get trimmed after the first firing. Then you should have several firings before it is needed again? Yes that was my reasoning for 1.75. Also,I understand that most of the lengthening happens when it's re-sized and different dies have ...

Re: Rookie questions on .223

I trim mine to 1.75. When they get out to 1.76+ I've found that most dents will come out when I de-prime and size. The once fired brass I've bought so far has been processed. cleaned, deprimed, and trimmed. But I've seen my own get stretched out to 1.78ish after several uses, so I'm not surprised. A...

Re: .223/5.56 ballistic information

Very nice link. Thanks.

I've used this one below when sighting in my Nikon. I was really impressed with the options and the ability to print out a ballistics report.

Daughter's First Deer

Hello, proud dad here having to share some pictures. My daughter (9) said she wanted to shoot a deer earlier this year. I said 'ok' but you have to eat it. She said 'I will, if you cook it." I also said "you need to help clean it." She said that she would. I said "ok, we'll get y...

I'm interested in this one. I just got my scout/squad and this may be one of the new things to get for it.

Re: Just bought a Ruger LCP .380 Any Advice?

I've had one for a couple of years now. I have added the crimson trace laser, it adds a nice shoot quick from the hip option. I would second the advice to shoot it a bunch. I've probably have shot 500 rds through mine. Seems that it will fail to feed ocassionally. I had called ruger (at about 200 rd...

Re: Quick Draw Gun Magnet

Trigger guard: I'm now curious now about the potential to grab the trigger while removing the gun from the magnet, but I'm very conscious of where my fingers are when handling. I'll have to test it out in a couple of positions. I'd be most concerned using with my XD, we'll see. Scratches: It is supp...

Re: Taught my girls how to clean a gun last night

I went to the range yesterday with my 8 year old daughter to shoot skeet. We had the one skeet range to ourselves. She didn't think I was going to put her to work, but I had her press the buttons on the remote when I said "pull". I was impressed, I only had to explain High house, low house...

Re: Videos & video streaming

I'm not an expert, but I believe a 1.7 GB file would be too large to try and stream from the website. You may have recorded it in HD? You may want to try and convert it down to a lower quality video. This should make the file size smaller. There are several tools to convert video. I've used VLC in t...
