One part of the deal I had to cut with TSA to get my name off the No-Fly list was to agree to use my passport for identification when I fly (there is a slight problem with my TX DL). Because of this and the fact that I travel often for work, I usually have my passport handy. When asked for ID (except for a traffic stop where I am asked for my DL), i usually give them my passport and that raises some eyebrows at times. I even had a clerk try to tell me that a passport wasn't a valid form of ID.
