Checked the mail when I got home... and there it was! Now I'm trying to decide if I should buy a conceal holster for my 5" .45, or maybe get something smaller for CC. Actually, I've been trying to decide this for awhile. My 45 is huge, but I really feel comfortable with it.
Well at least if I decide to buy a different gun now, I won't have to wait 45 minutes for a security check. It will be more like buying any other item in a store/

Re: May 2009 Applications
Well I've been traveling out of town this week and didn't bother to take my laptop. I got home and when I got to this site and checked the May thread, I was shocked at the number of people who are through processing. Congratulations All!
Needless to say, I immediately went to check my status and it said ... Application Completed - license issued or certificate active
Woo-Hoo!
I don't know what day it happened this week, maybe I should run over to the mailbox right now!

Re: May 2009 Applications
I usually don't check my status too often, but when I saw that some May application were getting their licenses, I decided to check my status.
PANIC! The site said: "No application or license/certificate active". After three attempts to log in and I kept getting the same result, I finally realized that I was entering the instructor license link and not the CHL one! DUH! Once I logged on to the correct site I saw the good old "Processing Application". I never thought I would glad to see that phrase.

Re: May 2009 Applications
Boy I'm hoping that if your paperwork starting processing, then mine is about a week behind, as I mailed mine about a week after you.BrianSW99 wrote:I just checked this morning and I'm now Processing! I checked late last night and it was still packet mailed to applicant, so it must have happened sometime this morning. 34 days from the time DPS received the application.
