Re: Failed to immediately show CHL
Just a quick note about hubby in the dog house. I don't want you guys to think I am a heartless woman. The stupid thing he did was with a "lady" of the evening who happened to be an undercover cop. Found out there has been a regular pattern of these activities for our entire marriage...nop...

OOPS, Sorry. I don't know why I put Castle. I guess I'm getting old. Did not mean to say confusing things. Thanks for pointing this out.

Re: Failed to immediately show CHL
Dealing with HPD can drive you crazy. My husband was arrested for doing something stupid while down there on business. The bail bond places I talked to initially all told me you can get arrested for just about anything in that town. He has been to court 4 times and the lawyer is never ready because ...

Re: Area's around Texas that are questionable about CHL
Plano, just north of Dallas is getting that reputation. A cop there ticketed a guy who had a gun in his car, but failed to show his CHL. He had applied for a CHL, but had not received it in the mail yet. He did not have it to show with his driver's license when the cop asked for ID. It is legal unde...

Re: Shot in home.
So glad that kid had been taught how to use a firearm and exercised good judgment as to when. I hope he does not torture himself with guilt because the intruder only had a bb gun. The guy might have still overpowered and killed the kid with his bare hands. If someone is intentionally making you beli...

Re: Name was different when Misdemeanor happened
No apology is needed. I appreciate the help. I'm really not embarrassed about it anymore. I did get a really healthy aversion to ever getting on the wrong side of laws from the experience. Not to mention some insight into just how easy it can happen even when you have no intention of doing so. I gue...

Re: defending your dog
You could try carrying alternatives to a gun for protecting your dog. A cattle prod has a fairly long handle and you could likely change a dog's mind about attacking. Dogs typically really don't care for the electric zap sound either. Also a good can of mace is a great deterrent. The big problem wit...

Re: Name was different when Misdemeanor happened
It was so long ago, I am not sure what class it would have been in. That was the only time I ever got in trouble for anything. I'm about the most law-abiding person you could meet. It was actually a situation in which I never even meant to break any law. What happened was I had gone on vacation to C...

How would I find out if my own representative, Joe Barton, supported the National Park Law, and others?

Name was different when Misdemeanor happened
I have a question in regards to the application. There is a box for listing Aliases. Do I need to put all former married last names? I had an arrest 25 years ago that was under a different last name then. I am not sure what they would want to see in terms of proof of name changes; marriage and divo...
