That would be interesting if it were true. I've set a couple off before during the holiday season. The store person told me they just had the sensitivity turn way up, but I still didn't have any RFID tags on me. I did have night sights on the CCW that was on my hip. :headscratch

I have rarely had one go off on me when entering a store and when I asked about it they just told me it was set a little sensitive and it was quite annoying to the point that they almost completely ignored it when it does go off.
