Re: Holster for skinny guy carrying Glock 22

Brands of jeans certainly fit differently and even styles within the same brand. Another somewhat annoying fact is that the belt loops are in different locations and some have more than others. I am rapidly approaching 50y and definitely like my jeans with some room to move around more now than 20-30 years ago. Loose fitting, not baggy, comfortable clothing is my style now, especially when carrying.

I also forgot to ask what type of holster(s) you currently use. I like paddle OWB holsters because of the flexibility they give me in being able to easily move it from 2:00 to 4:30 or even 5:00 if that's where I want it at that time. The only thing that really interferes with that is the belt loops. Same thing with the holster on the other side with the spare mags. I keep wanting to try a nice leather holster, but always worry about the increased level of difficulty of disarming when required. Now, I can just remove the entire rig and secure it in my vehicle.

When I sit down, it feels like the gun is either pushing against a bone or the barrel is digging into my back pocket, pushing on my wallet. Also, probably due to my pant size, when wearing the gun, it is difficult to get my wallet out of my pocket.
It sounds like you wear your jeans/pants a little low on your waist. I used to do that and still do if I'm not carrying. My waist is a little low anyway. However, when I do carry I carry it up an inch or two higher to that the grip will be in that sweet spot.

Move your wallet to the other side. I'm right handed and have always carried my wallet in my left side, so that wasn't an issue for me, but I do carry two spare mags on the left. I will 99.9999% of the time wear a cover garment when carrying and keep my wallet in a breast pocket to avoid that whole situation all together.

Re: Holster for skinny guy carrying Glock 22

Extreme congratulations on the weight loss!

I would be very very very sick if I were only 180 pounds again. Lightest I've been in decades is 195 and everyone was worried about me then.

Have you gotten a decent-good gun belt in your new size? That can be really helpful. That little Beretta looks like it has a pretty fat grip compared to the top and slide. You might want to consider selling it or trading it for a G23 or G27 in .40 to go with the G22. Either of those would conceal better than the G22 and use the same ammo and the larger mags will fit in the smaller guns. Unless, of course, the Beretta is also another family member's favorite.
