I don't have any experience in this area, but if a PO were to start asking questions about firearms in the house I wouldn't lie to them. It may get you and the parolee into more trouble.

I was thinking about suggesting that, but wasn't sure what your comfort level with the PO was.

I also think you and your dad are okay. The fact that your dad's probation officer allows the above is a good indication. It's a technicality, but if it is on your body then he is not in possession and nor is it accessible to him. If it's in the center console or glove box I think that would be a BIG no-no if he were also in the car.
